So now that wedding season is coming to a close, I'm sure you have a bunch of dresses from all of those weddings you were in lying around. You don't want them to go to waste, right??
Here is a nice way to re-wear that dress for a nice summer day out!
I saw this dress at Weddington Way, and thought the maxi style would be perfect for a refashion! A denim vest adds just enough casualness to this otherwise elegant dress, and the studded sandals add an edge. I had to go with this Chloe bag because its just gorgeous, and this Stella + Dot necklace from their new collection is absolutely stunning!
Have you ever reworn a bridesmaid dress for something a little more casual??
I wore two of my #NSale picks this past weekend out to dinner with Boyfriend, so I thought I would give you a little review on these items! Stay tuned for more!
TopShop Sleeveless ribbed Mock-neck Sweater :[wearing size US 0, UK 2] I love the fit of this sweater and I love that the side has slits. Its on the lighter weight side of a sweater, but it's still cool enough to wear in the summer- just not when it's 85+ degrees... I was surprised by the knit when I first got it, I was expecting a softer feel, but it's still absolutely wearable- and machone washable, totally a plus for me! I can definitely see layering the crap out of this sweater when the cool weather gets here! I also love the knit design (if you're following me on Instagram then you saw a close up already!) All-in-all I would recommend this sweater (big thank you for Christine from Hello Fashion for posting about it, I would've so overlooked it- didn't like the picture online.)
Street Level Vegan Leather Pocket Tote : [Bought in Cognac and black- gave my mom the cognac] There is a reason everyone who has this bag loves it so much- the quality is as good as everyone says it is! It also didn't come out of the plastic smelling like fake leather, which was nice. It came packaged with a cheap dust bag- I wasn't expecting a dust bag at all so this was nice. The vegan leather is floppy and not sturdy, so if your looking for a bag to stand on its own this is not the one for you. I bought this mainly because I wanted something that was stylish that I could just throw my stuff in and head out the door- and this bag is perfect for that! It doesn't have a zip closure, its just a small magnetic one in the middle of the bag, but thats perfectly ok with me. I would absolutely recommend this tote, it holds so much and its stylish at the same time!
It appears flared denim is making a comeback. While I do love the lines of skinny jeans and can never give them up, flared jeans just add a new feel to an outfit.
Quick story: I wanted "bell bottoms," as I used to call them, in the worst way when I was younger. I'll never forget for Christmas when I was in 4th grade, I opened a box from my aunt and there, staring back at me, were flared leggings. I screamed so loud! Wore those things to DEATH that year.
I was always too little to fit into jeans, they were either too baggy or too short, and these leggings just fit like a dream! While I still have problems fitting into jeans, especially boyfriend jeans- seriously, I'm still looking for the perfect pair... I have found good fits in American eagle, BlankNYC (dying to try THESE from Blank!), Paige, Rag+Bone (although the latter 2, I try to only buy when deeply discounted)
Below I have rounded up a few pairs of flares (hey! That rhymes!) DYING for this pair from #NSale... But i've already spent so much 🙈
You know what I hate? When you wear something and save it in your outfit archives cause you're not ready to post it yet, then literally, like EVERY other blogger comes out with a very similar version to your outfit... Yeah, that what happened to this outfit. I took these pictures about 2 weeks ago and didn't post them, and that same week I saw so many other bloggers wearing basic white button ups and distressed jeans...
Also, on the same note, apparently I'm in a ranting mood... I hate when things get too popular or way too over done! Like you see the same thing on everyone on the internet.
Call me a hypocrite (esp. with the herringbone vest- thats an exception people! ;) ) but really! I bought the Zara blanket scarf dupe and immediately regretted it cause I didn't want to become just like everyone else!
I mean, and I may get crap for saying this, but I feel like websites promote the same stuff! You can scroll thru Pinterest or Instagram and see the exact same "style" on 50 different people. what happened to originality?? I think thats why my style has been in a transition, actually I know thats why my style has been in a transition, because I don't want to be just like everyone else..
Phew feels good to have gotten that off my chest..
If you've made it to the end, YAY! I want to know your thoughts too! I can't be the only one feeing like this!
First off, thanks so much to all of you who made suggestions as to how to redo my blog! I'll definitely be looking into everything!
When one gets her first mani/pedi of the season, she must document said mani/pedi with a blog post ;). I know I'm a little late this season, but hey, better late than never, right??
This is actually the first time in a good 6 months or so that I wore my contacts, and I don't know about you other contact/glasses wearers, but every time I wear my contacts after not wearing them for a while, everything feels so big and flat! I think I remember feeling the opposite when I started wearing my glasses, everything was so small, but still...

It's no surprise that I love my neutrals. It's actually one of the reasons that I haven't been blogging lately- too much of the same thing! But I've recently started to feel inspired again, after quite a long shopping hiatus, adding a few new pieces, or rediscovering old pieces have made for sparks of creativity shooting into my brain.
I've also been thinking that I want to take this little blog of my on a little redesign trip, I kind of feel like this design, or lack thereof, doesn't jive with my style anymore- neither does my blog name... Complete overhaul huh, Liz?
It's just a bit overwhelming at this point. I don't know much about HTML and switching sites or any of that stuff.. Suggestions or people you may know are welcome :)
